Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The 2007 Sciandri Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is the quintessential expression of the Coombsville area. Deep dark color, fullness on the pallet, and a lusciousness of varietal character that begs you to keep drinking it, and drinking it, and drinking it! It carries that distinct aroma that we have come to call “Coombsville Dirt”.
This wine will last for a very long time, and would benefit from laying down in one’s cellar to age. However, it is very approachable now and in the near future.
Needless to say, we are very happy with this vintage. If there is a down side to this wine it is only that we don’t have a couple hundred more cases of it! Due for release Spring 2010
480 cases produced.
