Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in the regions volcanic soils. Much of the Coombsville ground is made of lava flows from an eruption of Mount George millions of years ago.
Coombsville is exploding as an up and coming wine region in Napa Valley. Located just east of the town of Napa, Coombsville has been submitted to the TTB as a new American Viticultural Area (AVA).
The Sciandri family is ready for the whole world to know what we already knew, that Coombsville produces premier wines.
Along with our neighbors, we have put together a map to help you navigate your way into this uncharted territory. PLease be advised that visits are by appointment only, so plan ahead.

What makes Coombsville so special?
With weather patterns that resemble Bordeaux, it is no great secret that varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, are the most planted grapes in the region. Sciandri Family Vineyards proudly grows all 5 Bordeaux varietals on our 20 acre estate. Each one stratigically planted on the property to accommodate it's unique growing needs.
Much like our neighbors in Carnerros, we have an extended growing season, due in part to the influences of the San Pablo Bay, allowing the fruit much needed time to develop all of those complex flavors that are so prevalent in our wines.
Still wondering what makes us stand out? Schedule a visit and come see for yourself. Enjoy breath taking views from our front porch as we sit and discuss the finer points of relaxation.
We can't wait to meet you!
